I am not an authority although I have read and thought much. I’ve been interested in this topic for twenty plus years but can argue that all of our training starts long before our memory of it.
Honesty and integrity are important values for me. I have pondered whether to talk about my own life for fear of unintentionally hurting or embarrassing someone – not least, myself! Please consider any real-life references not directly from me as creative non-fiction.

I never let the truth get in the way of a good story. And The Truth is universal.
I consider myself a Catholic, although I would not be surprised if many of my views were contrary to some fellow Catholics, or maybe, even The Church. Recent realisations have pleasantly revealed how broad the spectrum of ‘Catholicity’ is. Saying that, I welcome contrary views and please know that any views I hold at this present moment are based on what I currently know – I am always happy to learn and consider more.
